The house has been built in the 80' and is very solid. It will need some new decoration but this will be easy to do.
The house is built on a big cellar (60m2) to keep the house from flooding during floods. Big floods are rare but if they happen only the cellar will flood. The cellar is big enough to park a car, keep a boat and store garden equipment. There is a good sized workshop of 44m2 which doesn't flood.
Up some stairs from the front garden to the front door, entrance into a little hallway and some more stairs to the living area. This space consists of a hallway, a living room with fire place and access to the terrace by two double doors, a kitchen with wood cabinets, electric cooker, oven and dishwasher, a seperate toilet, a bathroom with bath, sink and shower and a bedroom again with access to the terrace at the back. The terrace is east-facing and looking onto the river.
From the hallway stairs lead to the first floor with big landing and two good sized bedrooms (15 and 16m2) under the eaves. The rooms are quite dark now but by painting the wood ceilings white and installing a nice fresh decor these room will be very pleasant with nice dormer windows.
The house is located on a large plot seperated in two parts. The part with the garden, house and terrace and the second part directly on the river. The part on the river is seperated from the rest by a quiet road only used by neighbours.
The private access to the river is rare and would be great to moore a small boat, or to fish directly from the bank. The Doubs is a beautiful wild river with lots of wildlife, fish and great to make little tours.
